Bower, David George (1948-2026)

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Doctor David George Bower on Wednesday February18th , 2026, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, with his loving family by his side.

David was the beloved husband of Marsha for 55 wonderful years, and a proud father to Shawn (Vanessa) and Jason (Andrea). He was a cherished Poppa to Olivia, Brooklyn, and Beau, and loving brother-in-law to Murray & Pam, Scott & Sally, Barrie, Deb and Dean. He was a loving uncle to Josh & Jacob, Shannon & Tyler, and Rachel & Ryan. He will be sadly missed by close friends Sue & Harvey, and Anna & Josef, and lovingly remembered as “Doctor Dave” by Michelle and Keith.

David dedicated more than 30 years of his life to serving the North Bay community as a dentist, caring for generations of families. Outside of his practice, he loved time at the cottage, fishing, canoeing, and evenings spent studying the night sky, sharing his love of astronomy while sitting together under the stars. He was an avid fan of hockey and soccer, and in his younger years, he treasured travelling across the country with his sons to support them in their sporting events.

In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
